The Samsung B7610 Louvre is said to be the successor of the F700, that was released back in 2007, although the difference is that the B7610 is coming out as a smartphone. This phone has appeared at The Phone House, which is a Dutch version of the Carphone Warehouse and has shown almost the similar design as to the F700.

An unannounced update to the Samsung F700, the Samsung B7610 runs Window Mobile 6.1 and has a full QWERTY slide-out keyboard. It comes in the same form factor and as well as same QWERTY slideout keyboard. This is also expected to have touch screen user interface, 5-megapixel camera, and perhaps GPS and Wi-Fi connectivity as well.
Until now, everything is still unofficial, even its Louvre name as it looks like it has nothing do with the Louvre Museum in Paris. But who knows, we’ve been hearing a lot of unusual names for mobile phones these days anyway. What we’re left wondering is whether Samsung have dumped the F700’s capacitive touchscreen in preference for the more familiar Windows Mobile fare of a resistive panel. That seems a likely proposition, but we’ll need to wait for an official announcement from Samsung before we know for certain. The B7610 Louvre is set to reach stores by the beginning of July.
