Samsung will launch its much awaited Samsung i900 Omnia in few hours from now today in India. We also mentioned about this Windows 6.1 Mobile Professional ready smart phone in some of our posts earlier on RealGeek.

Samsung Omnia can pretty much do anything that we have started to expect from smart phones these days. It incorporates the best of multimedia and Microsoft Office which puts it in a league somewhere between BlackBerry and Sony Ericsson mobile phones. We certainly are not complaining as we are hungry bastards. We want every goddamn thing in our mobile phones. Samsung Omnia has 3.2″ WQVGA TFT LCD which is pretty standard and common in most of me-too iPhones. It supports HSDPA 2100 for high broadband connectivity which is pretty useless considering that we don’t have 3G here in India as of now. Why am I still living here? Anyway, it has a camera which might give complex to some medium range digital cameras, I mean it has a 5MP Camera (CMOS) with auto focus, image stabilizer, geo-tagging, auto-panorama shot, wide dynamic range, face detection, smile detection. Gosh!

WiFi has been taken care of while the multimedia capabilities are above par. You get a FM, Media player which can even play divx movies along with Bluetooth Stereo Headset A2DP.
The most important thing about it is that it has Touch Wiz UI. It is basically a cosmetic makeover done by Samsung on Windows Mobile to make it appear less Microsofty. Still Dude, we are not convinced.
Go for it because iPhone is insanely priced. Steve Jobs should know what it means to keep real geeks away from their dream gadget.
