Samsung Electronics is going to unveiled the new full touchscreen mobile phones the Samsung S5600 and S5230 in Europe Market.

The Samsung S5600 attracts style-conscious users with its slim and compact design. It is equipped with a 2.8-inch QVGA full-touch screen and adopted the TouchWiz User Interface designed to customize and personalize the way you use your phone. It also packs in a 3 megapixel camera with Smile Shot for great photos and video. There is also an accelerometer built-in, so that the S5600 is able to rotate its display easily from portrait to landscape mode as needed.

The S5600 is well connected, with quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) support and dual-band UMTS (900/2100MHz) with HSDPA for high-speed data. The Samsung S5600 also comes with Shazam’s Find Music service, which enables fast identification of music by recording a quick clip of a song. The S5600 also sports Samsung’s adapted Gesture Lock feature, which allows users to unlock the phone with a drawn letter on the display screen.

Mid-end, non-smartphone and quite a distinctive looker - all these factors make this a decent alternative to the LG Cookie. It will also come with 3G support, which its main competitor - the LG KP500 Cookie lacks. The handset’s generous memory (80MB and Micro SD slot up to 8GB) ensures ample storage space for multimedia content.

Samsung S5230 comes with a 11.9mm slim, a 3.0-inch WQVGA full-touch screen and Samsung’s TouchWiz User Interface with Mobile Widgets and by the “Photo Contact,” users can call a contact by simply touching an appointed image. “Gesture Lock” and Internet browsing is similar to the Samsung S5600.

The S5230 features a 3 mega-pixel camera, QWERTY soft keyboard and video recording supporting QVGA@15fps. The phone also features music recognition using Shazam’s “Find Music” service and supports multi-format and DNSe for ease of use and better sound quality.

The Samsung S5600 multimedia-focused cell phone is set to be available throughout Europe in May 2009, though pricing information is not currently available and the Samsung S5320 will be available in France and other European countries from April.
