Samsung is launching a new flip phone, the SCH-u340. They introduced this in CTIA Wireless in Orlando, Florida, we were able to get some hands on time with the sleek device.

Samsung SCH-u340 is a simple cellphone but it is impressive, Not much enhancements or advance features available on this, no 3G data is available on the device, text and picture messaging as well as mobile IM are present and accounted for.

A VGA camera is included, 6MB of on board memory is available. The 128×160 pixel resolution TFT LCD display makes fonts nice and easy to read. Calendar, notepad, and calculator functionality round out the specification sheet.

The Samsung SCH-u340 is available now through Verizon Wireless free with a two-year service agreement and US$29.99 online discount
