The Samsung Eternity is a full touchscreen device that has recently landed on AT&T’s shelves. The front of the phone is made up almost entirely of the touchscreen display and thus looks pretty ‘chic’.

The front of the Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity is mostly covered by the large 3.2 inches touchscreen display. The 3 megapixel camera is located on the back of the Eternity and the entire back panel slides down and out to offer access to the battery and SIM card slot.
The Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity supports quad-band GSM (850/900/1800/1900MHz) and dual-band UMTS (850/1900MHz), with HSDPA over AT&T’s 3G network. Both multitap and T9 predictive text input are offered or you can alternatively use the onscreen QWERTY keyboard. The QWERTY is only available in landscape mode and is automatically activated when you rotate the phone which is rather nice.

The Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity sports several multimedia features including a 3 megapixel camera, microSD card slot and standard 3.5mm audio port. The Samsung Eternity is capable of up to 16GB of internal storage, similar to other full-touchscreen phones on the market. The Samsung Eternity features a 3 megapixel camera located on the back of the phone. Unfortunately there is no autofocus nor is there any sort of a flash with this camera. Only the dedicated camera key.
Most of these widgets are merely icons that allow one-click access to the feature, such as Bluetooth, the alarm clock, the TV icon for the MediaFLO Mobile TV, GPS capabilities, onscreen Qwerty Keypad and TouchWIZ interface.
The Samsung SGH-a867 Eternity is a rather small touchscreen cell phone, clearly designed for one-handed use. The touchscreen is responsive, and the haptic feedback adds a little extra to the overall experience. The music player offers good flexibility with headphones and storage expandability.
