Samsung has announced the new Ultra Touch S8300 a new ultra thin 8 mega-pixel slider phone which comes with a 2.8 inch AMOLED touchscreen which supports a resolution of 240×400 along with 16 million colors.

The 3G phone has a slide out keyboard, Bluetooth 2.1 and 80MB of onboard memory which can be further expanded via Micro SD card. The S8300 will make you ditch your digital camera as this baby packs in a 8 Megapixel camera along with a Dual-LED flash, it is not just megapixels but functionality as well as the camera has a face and smile detector along with the capability to Geo-tag photos. In fact the UltraTOUCH S8300 can handle DviX, XviD, H.263, H.264, WMV9 and MPEG4 video, plus record 30fps VGA content.

As with previous Ultra editions, the UltraTOUCH re-defines perfectionism in style, design and technology – now with full touch. Shutterbugs will totally love this phone too, because it comes loaded with an 8-megapixel digital camera, including dual LED flash and 30fp.

Full dimensions are 110 x 51.5 x 12.7mm and Samsung have used a newly updated version of their TouchWiz GUI which will - like the UltraTOUCH S8300 itself - debut at Mobile World Congress next week. No word is available on pricing or launch date, but we are hoping to find out more about it at the MWC.
