Seesmic has launched an application exclusively for Nokia N95 which allows users to upload their recorded videos directly to Seesmic from their Nokia N95 cell phone. You should not mistake that it’s meant only for uploading videos as Seesmic has also tried to integrate social elements into it.
The Seesmic application will also allow you users to take part in video conversations and follow video threads or comments from anywhere in the world provided they have decent connectivity. I have this feeling that it will turn out to be a success in mobile crazy Japan while the lesser mortals who don’t have 3G in their country bother not to download the free app.
Seesmic is doing a clever thing by taking its network mobile. It is definitely not a hugely popular site and many don’t even know that it is a micro blogging web application which allows users to showcase or rather just upload videos they captured on their webcam. It is touted as the twitter of video and you must have seen its big logo on TechCrunch at the end of comments where users can send in the video comments through Seesmic. We would have definitely tried this one had we got access to 3G here in India.
Nice Try. We’ll keep our eyes on this one.
