It seems like mobile companies are now fully geared to run the camera manufacturers out of business. We are witnessing a tide of better camera phones after the launch of Nokia N95. Every mobile phone company is going for better camera resolutions which is narrowing down the choice between a digital camera and a camera phone. Sony Ericsson is definitely taking a lead in this race with their latest handsets.

Sony Ericsson latest member in the Cybershot family is Sony Ericsson C902 which is a 5 megapixel camera phone. Sony Ericsson had also launched a 8 megapixel camera, Sony Ericsson C905 Cyber Shot few days back which we had reviewed .
The claim to fame of C902i has to be its 5 megapixel camera and the fact that it supports HSDPA which will give let you experience mobile interent at serious speeds. Its digital zoom is 16x which is something we would really welcome. The camera phone has sleek interface with a solid and slim body. It has all the features like Bluetooth connectivity, email, 3D games, video calling, media player and radio which you anyway expect from a phone like this. The phone has an inbuilt memory of 160 Mb while it gives you the liberty to upgrade upto 8Gb. The phone is only available in Swift Black color so you don’t really have choice in color.

This is basically a camera phone and you should think about buying it if there is a shutterbug in you. You can also consider another 5 megapixel camera phone from Sony Ericsson which is SE K850i.

Very ordinary bar design…
2 inches for a cybershot phone? Can Sony Ericsson give a decent screen?

I thought the 2″ screen is too small to be featured on a camera functionality dedicated phone, such as the Sony Ericsson C902. The touch sensitive camera keys are cute. When 5mp resolution was monster in this market, the C902 was great enough to be James Bond’s phone. However, it’s time for the 8mp now.
