HTC did it with Android and now they have done it with Windows Mobile 6.5. HTC Touch2 is the world’s first WinMo 6.5 smartphone. We heard Microsoft making an official statement that some WinMo 6.5 ready handsets will be launched on Ocrober 6 and HTC Touch2 will be part of it.

Touch 2 is a touch screen smartphone which is powered by the 528MHz Qualcomm MSM7225 processor along with 512MB ROM and 256MB RAM to run applications. It has a 2.8 inch touchscreen display which will feature the HTC’s TouchFLO user interface. It has a 3.2 megapixel fixed focus camera and supports microSD card for the storage.

Touch 2 is a very stylish phone and pretty much in line with the design that they have been doing since last few months. All the recent HTC phone designs are beautiful with curves and cuts to grab the attention of the users.

Microsoft will be premiering two new services in all the Windows Mobile 6.5 devices including HTC Touch2. One of the service is called MyPhone which lets you sync all your contact details, appointments and other data in the cloud. This is pretty much like Windows Live Mesh but for the smartphones. Other service which we will see in Touch2 is the Windows Marketplace which is going to be the focus of some attention since Apple made a big deal and apparently profits out of applications.

It is expected to be available in the markets of Europe and Asia starting October 6.

HTC becaime the first mobile manufacturer to launch an Android powered device called HTC Magic aka T-Mobile G1. Later on it launched HTC Hero which is so far the most good-looking Android device out there right now. There was some talk of HTC launching another Android device called HTC Click which was oblivious from the eyes of public so far. The images of the HTC Click have been leaked and it seems like trumping HTC Hero was not in the mind of the company while making it. HTC Click looks like one of those old fashion Palm devices but we are not complaining.

HTC Click features Android OS Donut which is the 2.0 version of Android. The screen of the HTC Click is slightly smaller than the one found in HTC Magic while it seems to it’d go the GSM way. HTC Click is supposed to get an official announcement in September or October this year. The price is expected to be less considering its not-so-attractive design.

The news that is making some noise today is about the supposed launch of Verizon Diamond 2 or “WhiteStone” or XV6975. It is being said on the blogosphere or specifically according to the WMExperts that this device will be available in US markets by September/October.

Verizon Diamond 2 is going to be powered by Qualcomm 7600 @ 528MHz with memory at 512MB. It has a big 3.6 inch WVGA touchscreem with a 5 MP autofocus camera. It will also have GPS. One a different note, GPS is something that I want in every mobile device I want to own.

The details of some other handset, i.e. HTC Mega has also been revealed which will be also powered by the same processor. It will supposedly run on Windows Mobile 6.5. It has a 2.8 inch OVGA screen which corresponds to 240×320 megapixels. This one will have 3 MP camera along with GPSOne. It’s not known when HTC Mega might be seen in markets but expect it to be within this year itself.

HTC Hero is the first genuinely gorgeous piece of hardware running Android and the Sense UI is the most ambitious, polished software HTC has developed yet. It doesn’t have a carrier in the US yet, but as Android’s headline phone, it makes the just-launched myTouch 3G on T-Mobile a lame duck.

It’s a thin handset, measuring 112 x 56.2 x 14.35 mm and feels even thinner thanks to the sharp beveling of the edges. Up top there’s a welcome addition to an HTC Android device, in the shape of a 3.5mm headphones socket, while on the base there’s the company’s own ExtUSB port (which is compatible with standard mini-USB). On the left-hand side there are surprisingly large volume controls, while on the back there’s the 5-megapixel autofocus camera (which still lacks a flash of any sort).

A 3.2-inch capacitive touchscreen running at 320 x 480 HVGA resolution, sitting above the usual six Android buttons: call, home, menu, call-end, search and back. The trackball from the Dream and Magic is also present, and it lights up when you receive an SMS or phone call. Above the display is the long, narrow speaker-grill, flanked on the left by an ambient light sensor and on the right by a two-color LED that flashes green to let you know a message has come in, and red when charging. The whole handset is covered in Teflon, which HTC say will better resist scratches, fading and staining; its matte finish is a tactile and aesthetically welcome departure from glossy devices.

HTC introduce fourteen of their own, along with five “toggle” controls for connectivity options. These range from bookmarks and calendar, through a new mail app and messages app, to contact shortcuts, a Twitter app and a new weather app. As for the toggle switches, they cover airplane mode, Bluetooth, GPS, cellular connectivity and WiFi, and present an easy way to lock-down the Hero or simply shut off a potential battery glutton.

HTC, Taiwan-based mobile phone maker, is said to be preparing for the launch/release of the Leo. The Leo is apparently a flip phone which will offer an internal WVGA screen and an external QVGA screen. The existence of the new device seems to have been unveiled by the leaked Manila 2.5 or the TouchFLO 3D 2.5 UI that HTC designed to work with its Windows Mobile-based devices.

In addition, the phone might also sport a full QWERTY keyboard, though there are no specific details on it, and it should be rather interesting to see whether touch capabilities have been also included in the package.

The new device might be similar to the HTC Omni. According to WMPoweruser, the rumored HTC Leo should prove to be a rather powerful device, which would point towards the inclusion of a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. When it comes to the graphics capabilities of the device, the fact that there might be support for OpenGL 2.0 included in it also suggests a Snapdragon processor, it seems. HTC is also rumored to release the Click, Mega and Rome these are probably just codenames. The Click is supposed to be an entry-level Android phone but we have no details regarding the phone.

The HTC Leo is said to be running a top secret UI called HTC Manila 2.5 which is essentially the next generation of the company’s TouchFLO 3D interface that overlays Windows Mobile. This is essentially the non-Android HTC Sense.

HTC Click is an Android powered handset which has emerged in the wild along with some other mobile phones from the company, namely the HTC Leo , HTC Mega and HTC Rome. The last three ones are supposedly Windows Mobile devices so we are not gonna talk a lot about them. HTC Click is interesting because it’s an Android based handset, looks cheap and is probably going to make the entry of Android devices in a whole new market segment.

When it comes to the specs of the new device, nothing much can be said, except a possible 2.8-inch touchscreen display. In addition, the French site pointgphone, the one that published the photos with the Click in the first place, says that a 3.5mm audio jack and a photo snapper have been included in the package as well. At the same time, we should also mention that the trackball present with previous HTC Android phones is missing, being replaced by a multi-directional pad.

The Android has so far been limited to higher end devices and its entrance in the lower levels of the market will guarantee that more and more people will choose it over other smartphone platforms. The HTC Click has great chances to feature a price tag much lower than the currently available Android offerings, which means that the Platform will have to compete in an area where feature phones rule. Even so, chances are great that it will succeed, so stay tuned to learn more details on the new HTC Click.

Last month T-Mobile had announced its new smart phone called as My Touch 3G which is also known as Android phone. T- Mobile will be available by Pre-order from now and it will be delivered at the end of the month, while for the other retail stores it will begin in early August.

T-Mobile is releasing My Touch 3G with extra and amazing features and quality. It has a smaller form and it can be coordinated with Outlook Microsoft. T-Mobile My Touch 3G Android phone touch screen is made by HTC. The fully touch screen handset will include a 3.2 mega-pixel camera, Wi-Fi, HSDPA and Bluetooth connectivity, along with 512MB internal memory that is flexible up to16 GB with the use of Micro SD memory card.

The biggest thing T-Mobile is trumpeting for this device is a deep level of customization. Users will be able to customize the menus, wallpapers, icons and a range of other things on the device with the use of themes and skins. This is a sharp break from a device like the iPhone which has a completely un-customizable look and feel. A program called Sherpa will facilitate user to know the location of favorites and recommendations.

T-Mobile My Touch 3G phone is eye-catching much as same as Vodafone’s HTC Magic was commenced across the UK earlier this year.

T-Mobile is planning to sell My Touch 3G for $200 with a two-year service contract. Other good news for the customers is that My Touch 3G will be available in three colors White,Merlot and Black, so they can purchase any color out of three they would like to buy.

HTC has now announced another Android handset and it’s called Hero. HTC Hero is not as ugly as HTC Magic and there are some new user-interface enhancements in this one which has made us excited. It has what they are calling HTC Sense user interface which is a custom user interface.

The specifications of HTC Hero are also impressive with a 3.2-inch TFT-LCD with 320 x 480 pixel resolution, 900/2100MHz HSPA and Quad-band GSM, trackball, GPS, 802.11b/g WiFi, 3.5mm audio jack, G-sensor, compass, and 5 megapixel auto-focus (with geo-tagging) cam with microSD expansion. This probably includes everything that I want in a smartphone.

HTC Hero will be available in two colors, Black and White. The white color HTC Hero will sport industry-first Teflon coating which will supposedly keep the color long lasting and durable.

HTC Hero also includes a dedicated Search button that enables you to search through Twitter, locate people in your contact list, find emails in your inbox or search in any other area in Hero. The Talk time of HTC Hero is 420 minutes for WCDMA and 470 minutes for GSM.

Suddenly we are so much more excited and optimistic about HTC and Android combination and we can’t wait to lay our hands on this dahling.
