Twitter acquires Summize

Twitter has of course some plans to enhance usability on twitter post buy-out of summize. It was a perfect match and both were made for each other.For those who don’t know by now, Summize was a search engine which allowed users to search through tweets of twitter.Twitter paid 15 million US dollars in cash and stock to buy Summize.

The first step taken by the company is that they have renamed Summize to Twitter Search and all he links to summize.com are being directed to search.twitter.com.

The homepage of Twitter search is as simple as google and there is an option to add a Twitter Search plugin into your firefox browser. 5 engineers of Summize will now relocate to San Francisco and start working with Twitter team.

Twitter’s next plan would be to integrate twitter search within twitter. Summize has provided Twitter a readymade solution which can make twitter a better cyber place to be in while it would be great if they can give rest to their Fail Whale for a long time.
