Ubuntu has become one of the most popular software in the Open Source Community, they now have a new release. The Edgy Eft Beta is the first beta release of Ubuntu 6.10, and with this new beta release comes a whole host of excellent new features.

There are things they have improved in this version like faster system boot up times, faster GNOME start up times, improvements on user interface, a shiny new optimized kernel, GNOME 2.16, etc.
