Ustream.tv brought their streaming video application for iTunes almost two days back and it rose to the most downloaded apps in no time. It has already hit the top spot of the Application Store’s Entertainment section and its ranked the 6th most popular free application overall on iTunes App Store.

Ustream Iphone Viewing Application gives users access to these broadcasts, which can be viewed in both vertical and horizontal orientation. Apple iPhone users can also view and participate in a broadcasts interactive chat feed, if available. The application currently only works with WiFi connections, so no 3G or EDGE streaming is allowed just yet.

The Ustream applications currently has an average rating of two stars which apparently means that users are not very happy about this free application. While competitors like Qik and Flixwagon have created similar application that work on jailbroken iPhones none of these have made their way to the Application Store.
