Verzion Wireless announced yesterday that the long overdue HTC Touch Diamond will be available online and through business channels starting from today, April 10th.

The Launch of the HTC Touch Diamond on Verzion finally brings HTC’s headlining touchscreen smartphone to Verzion’s reliably laggard network. The world has been playing with the Touch Diamond sports 2.8 inch VGA touchscreen, 3.2 megapixel camera, GPS, Wi-Fi, MicroSD Expansion that supports upto 16GB, 3G data and TouchFLO 3D Userinterface for so long that it’s barely noteworthy anymore it’s good to see Verzion catching up to the world. The phone also features Verzion’s visual voicemail and the carrier’s VZ Navigator service.
The CDMA Variant of the HTC Touch Diamond will launch with RAM/ROM cut down to 128 MB/256 MB, but makes up for it with a microSD card slot.
Unfortunately, it seems our expected $199.99 on contract price tag didn’t pan out. Verzion will be asking customers to pony uo $299.99 after $70 mail-in rebate and sign a new two year contract.

Diamond doesn’t have external card slot. But its 4GB internal memory is pretty much.
